What is the Disability Benefits Advocacy Project (DBAP)?

The Disability Benefits Advocacy Project, or DBAP, works across the State of Maryland to assist Maryland residents who might be eligible for Social Security benefits due to disability.

We help individuals navigate the complex, and often lengthy process of securing long-term, stable Social Security benefits.

DBAP helps adults and children who may be eligible for Social Security benefits if they are currently participating in one or more of the following qualifying programs:

  • Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA)
  • Temporary Disability Assistance (TDAP)
  • Public Assistance to Adults (PAA)
  • Children and youth who are currently or recently in State foster care

Every hand is a helping hand

We strive to deliver quality service and representation by advocating for individuals who cannot advocate for themselves.

Support and encouragement

Helping to identify and serve the vulnerable population who may be eligible for Social Security benefits to support their care and wellbeing through life.
